Kindergarten Registration and Transfers


To register a child for kindergarten, it will be necessary to have the following documentation:
  • A birth certificate or other official document verifying the child’s birth date.   According to California State law, a child must have been born on or before December 2, 2006
  • Immunizations:  Proof of MMR (including proof of second MMR), Polio, D.P.T., and Hepatitis B, Varicella (Chicken Pox) and the results of a current Tuberculosis test (Mantoux), given since 8/1/09.
  • Verification of residency (driver’s license, utility bill, rent receipt)
Registration will be held at the school to which your address is currently assigned.  Schools in the Sulphur Springs District include:  Canyon Springs, Fair Oaks Ranch, Golden Oak, Leona Cox, Mint Canyon, Mitchell, Pinetree, Sulphur Springs and Valley View.  At this time, schools included in the Sulphur Springs District operate on a Blended calendar.


1 – 6 Transfers

Sulphur Springs School District will continue to accept Intra District and Inter District Transfers for the 2011/12 school year,  through April 30, 2011.  Notification of approval/denial will be mailed out approximately 10 days after transfer has been turned in. 

Intra-District Transfers:  If you currently reside within a school’s attendance area and wish to enroll your child in to another school within District boundaries, you may request to do so by completing an Intra-District Transfer Request.  You may pick up a form from your home school or the District Office.

Inter-District Transfers:  If you currently reside within Sulphur Springs School District boundaries and wish to enroll your child in to another school outside of the District, you may do so by requesting an Inter-District Transfer Request form from the District Office.  Completion of this form releases your child from our school District so that he/she may attend a school in another school district.

If you currently reside outside of Sulphur Springs School District boundaries and wish to enroll your child in to one of our schools, please contact your home school district office for details.

Para registrar a un niño(a) para el kindergarten, es necesario tener la siguiente documentación:
  • Una partida de nacimiento u otro documento oficial que verifica la fecha de nacimiento del niño(a). Según la ley Estatal de California, el niño(a) debe de haber nacido antes o el día 2 de diciembre de 2006.
  • Inmunizaciones: Prueba de MMR (incluso prueba del segundo MMR), Polio, D.P.T., y Hepatitis B, Varicella (Varicela) y el resultado reciente de la prueba de la Tuberculosis (Mantoux), dada el o despues del dia 8/1/09.
  • Verificación de domicilio (permiso de conducir, cuenta de pago (de luz, agua, cable, etc.) o recibo de alquiler
La matricula será en la escuela a la que pertenece su residencia.  Las escuelas del Distrito de Sulphur Springs incluyen: Canyon Springs, Fair Oaks Ranch, Golden Oak, Leona Cox, Mint Canyon, Mitchell, Pinetree, Sulphur Springs y Valley View.  Actualmente, las escuelas del Distrito de Sulphur Springs funcionan bajo un calendario Mezclado (Blended).

Transferencias del 1ro. al 6to. Grado

Las Primaveras del azufre Educan Distrito continuará aceptar Intra que Distrito y Enterrar Transferencias de Distrito para el 2011/12 año escolar, por el 30 de abril de 2011. Transferencias de Intradistrito:  Si usted actualmente reside dentro del área de asistencia de una escuela, y desea matricular a su niño a otra escuela dentro de los limites del Distrito, usted puede solicitar una petición de Transferencia de Intradistrito. Puede recoger una forma en la escuela de su niño(a) o de la oficina del Distrito Escolar.

Transferencias de Interdistrito: Si usted actualmente reside dentro de los límites del  Distrito de Sulphur Springs, y desea matricular a su niño(a) en otra escuela fuera de nuestro Distrito, usted puede hacer una Petición de Transferencia de Interdistrito en la Oficina del Distrito Escolar de su residencia. La finalización de ésta forma libera a su niño(a) de nuestro Distrito escolar, de modo que él/ella pueda asistir a una escuela en otro distrito escolar.

Si usted actualmente reside fuera de los límites del Distrito Escolar de Sulphur Springs, y desea matricular a su niño en una de nuestras escuelas, por favor póngase en contacto con las oficina del Distrito Escolar que le corresponde a su residencia para más detalles.
